De Baronie is a romantic B&B in a 17th century canal house overlooking one of Amsterdam's most beautiful canals and close to all the city's attractions. A few hundred meters from the central station is in close proximity to Nieuwmarkt, Waterlooplein, Rembrandtplein, Dam Square, numerous stores, galleries, restaurants and cafes. The property offers a combination of luxury, comfort and class in a relaxed environment.
B&B De Baronie History
The interior consists of many original details such as old Dutch tiles, original beams and oak staircase. On the ground floor is the entrance hall with marble floor and direct access to the kitchen and courtyard. The second floor, reached by the oak staircase, features a classic living room with an antique desk, Chesterfield sofa, chandelier, open fireplace, digital TV, DVD and stereo. A small staircase leads to the upstairs room that serves as a dining room from where you have a beautiful view of the canal.
On the third floor is the suite with a large living room with a nice view of the canal, spacious sitting room with TV, chandelier, refrigerator and boiler with coffee and tea. Also, there is the bedroom with a King size bed or 2 x 1-pers.bed, private bathroom and a private toilet one step outside the suite.
On the fourth floor is the study with a small kitchen including two hotplates, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, refrigerator and all necessary utensils. The other side of this studio is the sleeping area and from here you also have a breathtaking view of the canal, the Nemo museum and the old port of Amsterdam.
