Birreria Pedavena History
In 1896 the brothers Sante, Luigi and Giovanni Luciani, originally from Forno di Canale, today Canale d'Agordo, begin the construction of a brewery in Pedavena, a place where they had moved due to the presence of quality water sources indicated for beer production. The factory was then inaugurated, starting production on March 27, 1897. The following year the production of beer began and with the factory in full swing they decided to join a Tyrolean chalet, a small restaurant in wood in which to welcome visitors and let them taste the Pedavena Beer
In 1917, after the battle of Caporetto, the factory came to be in Austro-Hungarian territory and saw most of its structures requisitioned for military purposes. With the end of the war, the Luciani brothers regain possession of the brewery by starting its reconstruction.
In 1937 the production facilities were renovated and new spaces for entertainment and tasting were recreated to accommodate an increasing number of visitors.
This is the short story of the local Pedavena Brewery, visited by thousands of guests every year, which since 1998 has been led by Lionello Gorza and his family with care and dedication. Over the past 15 years, even the latter management has continued to make improvements across the entire structure.
The Pedavena Brewery offers a varied choice of typical local dishes, from delicious fries to traditional Feltrina dishes, from salads to mixed cutting boards, infinite variations of bruschetta and special menus dedicated to children and vegetarians.
The speed of the service and the quality of the dishes offered make the Pedavena Brewery a truly unique place to spend your moments of celebration in joy, but also a simple dinner with friends, a lunch break with colleagues or a tasty and quick afternoon snack accompanied by a good cold beer.
The Pedavena Brewery is a flexible and welcoming structure, divided into various rooms: the Atrium, the Sala degli Affreschi and a large Veranda where you can have lunch or simply drink a good fresh beer; the Sala degli Elefanti for the most particular lunches and special occasions.
The park with the characteristic Alpine hut where you can listen to live music and visit the markets with typical local products; the playground for the little ones and, finally, for sports enthusiasts, the bowling green and the tennis court.
The park surrounding the restaurant allows you to relax, play tennis or bowls or take the children to play in the dedicated equipped area.
Today the Pedavena Brewery, although having maintained the important foundations left by the Luciani Brothers, has adapted the spaces and has renewed itself so as to respond more effectively to customer needs both in terms of catering, events and entertainment.
