Caffè Sant'Eustachio is an ancient wood-fired coffee-roasting plant born in the thirties, located in Rome in front of the Senate of the Italian Republic, a stone's throw from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon.

Caffè Sant'Eustachio History

The year of foundation is 1938. The mosaics of the flooring and the furnishings are still the original ones. The deer symbol of Saint Eustace The Coffee evokes the appearance and conversion of the pagan Eustachio to Christianity.
In fact, in the square of the same name, the basilica of Sant'Eustachio has been located for over a thousand years, placing a white deer on the top, with a cross stuck in its horns, instead of the cross.
Under the management of the brothers Raimondo and Roberto Ricci, which began in 1999, at Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè the tradition remains intact, the search for the finest blend continues and offers a range of products based on a secret mixture that has become legendary.
The café has six outdoor tables and has a wood-burning appliance dated back to 1948, which still works today.

Since 1938 Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè preserves the tradition of good coffee and has always taken care of its quality. The use of the best Arabica coffees, the Sant'Eustachio blend and the special preparation of its Gran Caffè make the restaurant an obligatory stop for the gourmets of the black drink.
The raw coffee is toasted with wood to be tasted in the room, where you can also buy it to prepare it at home. The types of roasted, washed and selected coffee are top quality. The freshness and quality of the product give off unparalleled aromas and flavors, which are not to be found in large-scale bookshelves.
Today, however, it is not enough to buy a good and quality coffee: when buying a product you must also pay attention to how it is obtained and how it develops its entire production and commercial supply chain.
It is with this conviction that Sant'Eustachio decided to take the road of responsible and supportive purchases. For some years roasting uses fair trade coffee bought by non-profit organizations, such as the Italian Altromercato.
Buying a fair trade product means paying the producer a fair price, higher than the market price, and creating long-lasting business relationships, able to guarantee the financing of local environmental and social development projects. Not only. When buying fair trade coffee a more direct and concrete relationship is established between the coffee roaster and the growers, thus contributing to the search for the quality of the product by both.
At the time Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè buys fair trade coffee from producers' cooperatives in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Ethiopia and Brazil. In addition to that, buy coffee from Galapagos and the island of Santa Elena.
For the attention placed in the selection and selection of coffees and above all for the care taken in the artisanal preparation of a quality raw material, Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè offers a unique and incomparable product.
