Hotel Villa Tacchi is housed in a villa of typical Palladian inspiration dating back to the late seventeenth century, surrounded by a lush park where there is an outdoor swimming pool and a lake surrounded by towering trees.
Its history began as said at the end of 1600, when it was erected by the will of the rich Guzzo Baretta family, merchants from Bergamo who moved to Vicenza. In 1878 the property passed to the noble De Tacchi family from Rovereto, attracted by the position of the residence that allowed a quick trip to Vicenza and Padua. Other changes of ownership followed one another over the years up to the current ownership. In the 90s of the last century there was an important restoration work with a structural consolidation and insulation and waterproofing of the roofs, leaving intact the architectural and artistic features of the building.
The rooms of the Hotel Villa Tacchi offer today an admirable harmony between the ancient and the modern, with the hotel rooms being different from the other. The 49 rooms, divided into Classic, Superior and Junior Suites, are furnished in a classic, spacious style, adorned with Venetian-style ceilings with exposed wooden beams. The rooms of the Sala Stemmi and the La Tavernetta restaurant have been created from the rustic rooms once used for the storage of agricultural products and the shelter of the animals. The floors of the ground floor, in Venetian style mosaic, were made by the best local artisans using the same techniques and materials used in the 1500s, but some original floors have been carefully restored.
At La Tavernetta restaurant there is a seasonal kitchen, where elegance is combined with an intimate and welcoming atmosphere; the menus range from typical local specialties to dishes with new and exotic flavors, accompanied by a careful selection of the best wines.
