Villa Revedin

It was built by the Venetian noblemen Morosini around the middle of 1500, becoming, towards the end of the eighteenth century, summer residence of the Foscarini Cornaro family and destination for important people from all over Europe. At the fall of the Venetian Republic the Villa was acquired with its enormous land properties by the Revedin Counts, who dedicated themselves to agriculture, introducing modern and innovative methods.

In the '70s, following a careful renovation desired by the current owners, it was transformed into a prestigious Hotel - Restaurant. The setting of the quiet Venetian countryside and the evocative view of the centuries-old park, guarantee a relaxing atmosphere that brings to mind an unforgettable era. The hotel is cleverly housed within the noble part of the historic residence. Each room and suite of Villa Revedin is an ideal place for those wishing to spend unforgettable moments or simply want to take a relaxing break from the routine of daily tasks.

The restaurant of Villa Revedin was, in the Marca Trevigiana, a forerunner of a new way of interpreting catering, proposing since its opening, in 1976, a cuisine based mainly on fish. The rich display of scampi, lobsters, seabasses, sturgeons and the best Adriatic fishermen bring to the port every day, is renewed every day and is a clear sign of genuineness.

The restaurant is located in the most recent part of the Villa, the style is simple but refined and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A rich display window welcomes the visitor at his entrance and shows the freshness of the fish that the kitchen offers daily. Just beyond, a charming bar, made from an ancient fireplace in refractory bricks, wood, marble and bronze makes waiting for the guests an opportunity for a different and relaxing aperitif. The central part of the restaurant is dominated by a bright, handcrafted ceiling, setting thousands of colored Murano glass alternating with sail curtains that recall the gentle flow of the sea waves. An ancient fireplace, open on all four sides, dominates the fireplace room, communicating with the central hall but where the partial curtain closure, the soft light and the wooden beams give the ideal atmosphere for a romantic dinner by candlelight or a small banquet between friends or relatives. The "Spada Pesce" room, next to the central hall, finally gives reserved refinement for business meetings or all sorts of conventions.

In the ancient Villa Revedin glacier, in the heart of the centuries-old park, where the noble owners once preserved the food, there is the Enoteca Revedin: interior spaces of bricks, iron, wood and glass and original outdoor lounges to taste excellent wines or to organize an exclusive private party. Ideal place for welcome aperitifs, or to prolong the celebrations of the most beautiful day, in an informal and sparkling atmosphere, until late at night.
