Cascate del Mulino History
The Cascate del Mulino are an imposing set of thermal springs of sulphurous water that are located in Manciano in the Province of Grosseto, not far from the spa town of Saturnia, in the Albegna River Valley
The gorello waterfalls originate from the sulphurous waters of the Terme di Saturnia, where the water flows from a natural source at a temperature of 37.5 ° C and thanks to the presence of a particular element, namely Thermal Plankton, is characterized by the beneficial effects it has on the skin, and on the digestive, circulatory, motor and replacement systems.
The thermal spring of Saturnia originates a thermal torrent, called gorello, which feeds the waterfalls.
The waterfalls are a natural and free place, so they are open 24 hours a day, every day, even in winter and admission is free. At the mill waterfalls there is a small restaurant and a parking lot, always open.
