Ottoburg is a historic building in the heart of Innsbruck, home to a typical Tyrolean restaurant where you can enjoy Tyrolean specialties.
Ottoburg History
Originally the Ottoburg served as a defense tower, as the battlements on the second floor of the building still remind us, today it houses a modern restaurant on the ground floor and five original rooms on the floors.
In 1180 the castle was built by the Andechs counts as a defense tower of their long-destroyed castle. In 1588 Georg Reitter, a merchant from Venice, bought the palace then named "Ött" or "Ödburg".
