Romantik Hotel Bösehof History
Heinrich Böse, a Bremen sugar maker and very energetic man, sold his company and in 1826 bought the «Bösehof» and vast lands in Bederkesa. In 1877 he bought and opened the Bohls family, parents of the researcher Dr. Jan Bohls, a restaurant of the «Bösehof», called it «Waldschlößchen».
In early 1957, at the age of 22, Günter Manke bought the «Bösehof». The former small economy «Waldschlößchen« has been rebuilt several times and in the following years the gastronomic company has grown more and more. 1974 »Haus Allmers« is the first wing of the hotel with 50 beds and an indoor pool in the cellar.
The expansion of the hotel was very successful and immediately attracted the first famous guests. Even the first hotel prize soon arrived. Since 1990, Günter Manke has shared responsibility with his son Klaus, who, together with his partner Andrea Roming, took over the daily business at the «Bösehof».
The second wing of the hotel «Haus Bohls« was inaugurated in 2000. Among the parts of the hotel was created the water park and the medical practice of massages and baths moved into the old indoor pool. Since then, the «Bösehof» has been constantly changing for you, making it one of the most popular romantic hotels in northern Germany.
