Romantik Jugendstilhotel Bellevue History
In 1896 the city council decided that it was necessary to join the village of Traben to the town of Trarbach. A bridge was needed. Architect Bruno Möhring won the contract for the construction, and in 1897 construction began on the project. During this work Bruno Möhring fell in love with the town and returned to build more. Many of the Art Nouveau buildings in Traben-Trarbach were built by Bruno Möhring.
In the decades that followed, the house became Moselle's number one address, visited by famous people of the early 20th century, such as Baron Richthofen, Count Anhalt, Lord Thyssen, and the famous German actor Heinz Rühmann.
