Castello dell'Oscano History
In the heart of Umbria, in Cenerente, stands the Castello dell'Oscano, a splendid neo-renaissance style building, which has survived to this day in perfect condition. The architectural beauty of the towers, the circular tower, the charming courtyard and elegant rooms, as well as the enchanting natural environment in which it is located, make it a totally fascinating place that alone would justify a trip.
Refined lounges decorated with paintings and stuccos and furnished with antique furniture and memorabilia evoke images of distant eras, never lived but dreamed, of noble knights and gentle ladies, and invite to the slow rhythms of country life. The hospitality is of the highest level, both for the elegance and the value of the rooms, in harmony with the historical value of the castle, and for the courtesy of the service, always ready to make the customer feel a special guest. Between curves of inlaid woodwork and gathered corners for reading, a precious casket opens up, the library, full of interesting volumes. Overlooking the beautiful gothic mullioned windows of the castle, here is Villa Ada, a late nineteenth-century residence also used as a hotel, with rooms furnished in classic style.
And even more downstream, still within the Oscanano estate, La Macina, a country-house with swimming pool, divided into rustic apartments. This is where the farm's activities are concentrated, with the sale of typical products such as wine, oil, honey and cheese. Three different levels of hospitality, for a varied clientele but always aiming at quality.
