Villa Levante is located at the entrance of Castelbuono in the province of Palermo, in a strategic position for excursions in the most important tourist resorts of the area and particularly rich in charm: the experience of staying in a nineteenth century castle, where few but comfortable refined apartments offer relaxing holidays in direct contact with culture and natural beauties.
Villa Levante History
Villa Levante develops in a turreted castle dating back to the nineteenth century, superb for architecture and for an original contrast that develops with the exuberant nature of the Madonie. It was the ancestors of Diego Levante, the current owner, who built it in the middle of an estate with palms and centuries-old olive trees, which today offer fresh shelter in the torrid Sicilian summers.
The castle has an elegant façade with mullioned windows and arabesque arches and corner towers, all traversed by a continuous line of Ghibelline merlons. Inside there is a large courtyard on which overlook the manor house and the old farmhouses of sharecroppers. It is here, in the towers of the south wing, that find the apartments offered for hospitality, deliberately few to allow everyone to fully appreciate the magic of this place out of time where, thanks to apartments equipped with kitchenette or kitchenette to guarantee complete autonomy, it is possible to spend a holiday in absolute independence: wooden beams, stone walls and original terracotta floors create simple but refined rooms alike, furnished with rustic and essential furniture in perfect harmony with the historical atmosphere of the environment.
Guests can then buy the organic products of the farm such as extra virgin olive oil and seasonal vegetables, while the more sporty will find mountain biking excursions in the surroundings innumerable naturalistic or cultural jewels such as the nearby town of Castelbuono.
