Today the most modern comfort and clear lines blend in perfect harmony with the almost centennial soul of the house, which offers 16 suites, a prestigious gourmet restaurant, a swimming pool and spa area.
Manoir de Lébioles History
It is mainly to Georges Neyt that we owe the construction of one of the gems of the architectural heritage of the city of Spa. This extraordinary visionary, diplomatic envoy and plenipotentiary minister, declared the natural son of King Leopold I, had the Manoir de Lébioles built between 1905 and 1910. Unfortunately, he enjoyed his "little Versailles of the Ardennes" for only a short time.
The heiress and only daughter of the builder, Mary Neyt, sold the Manoir de Lébioles to Edmond Dresse, a businessman from Liège, in 1912. In 1926, the Dresse family obtained the title of “Dresse de Lébioles”. The family lived in the building for the next 69 years. During that time, Liliane Dresse de Lébioles, Edmond's only granddaughter, and her father Armand gave the mansion a new luster by hosting many events such as performances by the National Theater of Belgium, concerts and other prestigious receptions.
Liliane sold the building in 1980 to Société Immobilière de Belgique. In the same year it was sold to a family of hoteliers. Until 1999 the mansion was managed as a first-rate "boutique hotel" with much success.
During the renovations, which lasted more than a year, the fireplaces were repaired, all the stairs were dismantled and renovated, as well as the historic floors. The more than 120 windows of the house have been restored, the gardens have been restored to their former beauty and so on.
Today, the Manoir de Lébioles has regained all its former glory and welcomes its visitors in a warm and elegant atmosphere.
The 16 suites of the Manoir de Lébioles will satisfy every desire. Each of them has been individually designed with its own style and character. Spacious and comfortable, the suites offer enough space to forget the daily routine: bathing in the turret, reading in the alcove or simply daydreaming in front of the fireplace are just some of the ways to relax.
Manoir de Lébioles also includes a gastronomic restaurant headed by chef Laurent Léveillé and a spa and wellness area where guests will find high-level professionals, rest and relaxation.
