Villa Soranzo Conestabile, in Scorzè in the province of Venice, is a period residence where the ancient charm of the Venetian villa is combined with the atmosphere of a "hotel de charme". The 20 rooms, each one different from the other, are furnished with antique furniture and feature fine stuccoes and decorations, without giving up modern comforts. The hotel is a refined and smart choice both as a location for banquets, ceremonies and events, and as a starting point to appreciate the nearby Venice, Padua and Treviso.

Villa Soranzo Conestabile History

Refined hospitality and good taste are a constant in the charming Villa Soranzo Conestabile, in Scorzè. The Martinellis, hoteliers for generations, came into possession of this ancient home in the 1960s and since then have been offering stays that recall, in the atmosphere and solemnity of daily rituals, those of the noble Venetian families in the golden age of the Serenissima.

The villa was built in the seventeenth century on behalf of the heirs of Giovanni Soranzo, who lived in the fourteenth century and went down in history with the nickname of doge "from the touch of gold", but took on the current appearance in the second half of the eighteenth century, thanks to architect Andrea Zorzi who gave it a neoclassical style, inserting within it an imposing pincer staircase, a Corinthian style colonnade, marbles and stucco decorations.

Among the most valuable works that come to our attention are the two cycles of frescoes visible on the main floor, of excellent workmanship and attributed to the Veronese school. This is where some of the hotel's twenty bedrooms, the most spacious and unique, are located. The others are on the second floor, they have no living room and are smaller, but still very comfortable. They share the period furniture and taste appropriate to the period of the residence and the relaxing view of the beautiful nineteenth-century English garden, commissioned by Count Tommaso Mocenigo Soranzo and designed by the famous architect Giuseppe Jappelli.

Traditional gastronomic proposals of the restaurant, which always contemplate good fish and Venetian wines for all occasions. The Villa and the garden are the perfect setting for ceremonies and banquets, with different spaces suitable to accommodate both the small business meeting and the big event.
