Immersed in the green Umbrian hills at 752 meters above sea level, the Ancient Monastery of San Biagio was used by the Order of the Templars since 1215. When it reached its maximum splendor in 1333, it was called "Canonica San Blasis", in honor of the Saint Biagio , bishop and doctor known for the recovery of a boy from a fish bone stuck in the trachea, and since then protector of the throat, part of the fourteen auxiliary saints, that is, those saints invoked for the healing of particular evils.
