Borgo dei Conti della Torre History
Borgo dei Conti della Torre is located in the Friuli countryside, not far from the village of Morsano, surrounded by a lush park.
The origins of the feudal family date back to Napoleon della Torre, of French origin; among the illustrious personalities given to the family's history there are three patriarchs of Aquileia, a cardinal, bishops and valiant knights.
The structure has undergone a recent conservative restoration, which, respecting the historical and artistic value, has updated the complex to the most modern needs, combining all the ancient taste of tradition, just a noble residence.
The Village consists of the Villa, the annexed barchessa with the pool and the Gastalda, a building consisting of 11 rooms used as a bed and breakfast. The rooms, different from each other, each have a different theme and are furnished with taste and creativity; the main floor preserves the original nineteenth-century flooring with wooden tables, a beamed ceiling and two rooms with an elegant draped decoration dating back to the early 19th century; there is also a large central hall with late eighteenth-century frescoes.
On the ground floor there is the consecrated XV century Chapel dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul with a bell tower of probable eighteenth-century origin, capable of hosting about thirty people; of particular interest is the fresco of 1511 representing the Trinity and the Saints Rocco and Sebastiano, protectors from the plague.
Externally there is a magnificent patio that lends itself perfectly to outdoor receptions, for weddings, ceremonies or dinners and business meetings: a flower garden, a swimming pool and a fountain with impressive water effects create an idyllic setting able to make every unforgettable event.
