Chateau St. Havel History
The hotel is a fully renovated neo-Gothic castle, located in Prague 4 - Krč, on a large plot surrounded by an elegant English-style park with several idyllic ponds offers accommodation in a quiet area near the center of Prague.
The castle was built on the basis of an earlier fortress, the oldest reference to which dates back to 1273. In 1420 the fortress was conquered by Hussites led by Jan Zizka. In 1627 King Ferdinand II donated Krc Castle to the Order of the Carmelites of Shod. Under their patronage a summer residence was built in beautiful countryside. In 1840-1860 the castle belonged to the Viennese Baron Schlosser. Contemporary elements and neo-Gothic facades were added to the chateau.
Today the chateau hotel offers accommodation in a total of 28 double rooms, comfortably furnished in classic chateau style. Each hotel room has a bathroom with bath or shower, toilet, satellite TV, minibar and safe.
