In this happy position stands the Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee in a successful architectural symbiosis of different ages, from the 12th to the 19th century.

In 1451 the complex expanded and a chapel was built, while between 1720 and 1725 a series of portraits and a beautiful stucco ceiling on the second floor were added. Among the portraits we can recognize the Emperor Joseph I and his wife Amalia of Brunswick-Lüneburg.
The castle with its antique furniture has been restored under the direction of the famous architect Friedegard Dejori.
