Romantik Hotel Spielweg is located in a picturesque rural setting in the Münstertal, with numerous attractions nearby, such as the St. Trudpert monastery church, the baroque castle of Bad Krozingen and the town of Staufen.
It offers several individually designed spacious rooms with views of the surrounding mountains, an indoor and outdoor pool with sauna and steam bath, and unique wellness facilities ensure relaxation and comfort.
Romantik Hotel Spielweg History
In 1705, the boarding house was first mentioned in a document of St. Trudpert's Monastery. In it it is stated that: "The house is to be the parish inn and meeting place of the upper Münstertal, where weddings, church openings, carnival and New Year's Eve parties are celebrated." The abbot at the time could hardly have imagined what the consequences of this would be.
For more than 156 years, the Fuchs family has been passionately following in the footsteps of this tradition: over the centuries, a once inconspicuous guesthouse has been transformed into a cozy and refined country and vacation hotel in exquisite surroundings, and is now run by the sixth generation of owners.
In the historic restaurant and bar, with its Black Forest tiled fireplace, wood-paneled walls, and coffered ceilings, we proudly serve what sets the Spielweg's cuisine apart: creative local cuisine ingeniously combined with Asian flavors and designed to fit the current time of year.
There are a variety of settings in which to delight in local specialties: in the Alte Stube, each table has its own special charm, which is why you should sit at each one at least once! The history of the cozy Alte Stube, with its tiled fireplace and domestic display case, reflects the history of the Spielweg guesthouse.
Also present is a wellness area equipped with a heated pool and a sauna where you can relax, as well as a large outdoor area surrounded by greenery.
