Villa Abbazia History
Hotel Villa Abbazia is located in the province of Treviso, in the green Venetian countryside rich in history and nature, along the famous food and wine route called Strada del Prosecco.
Of ancient origins dating back to before the year 1000, the town of Follina developed around the twelfth century thanks to the influence of the Cistercian monks and their famous abbey. In the square of the historic center, an elegant façade composed of a large carved stone portal is the gateway to the noble residence where the Hotel Villa Abbazia finds space.
Summer residence of the 16th century Venetian nobility is now a place for a holiday of romance, tranquility and intimacy, but also a privileged point of support to discover the surrounding area, rich in art cities that have preserved the ancient charm of the medieval village.
Inside, the splendid courtyard, rich in plants and embellished by an ancient and picturesque well, is framed by the 14 rooms of the eighteenth-century building, while in the liberty villa of the end of the 19th century there are four independent suites.
The dedication to detail can be found in every corner of the Villa: the sophistication of the fabrics, the style of the furniture and the wide spaces are combined with the most modern comforts to wrap the guest in a prestigious atmosphere.
Equally refined is also found in "La Corte", the restaurant of the structure that is inspired by the rich local gastronomy, combining wisely the cuisine of the author with the flavors of tradition.
