An old farmhouse completely restored and transformed into a resort, this is the Country Resort il Borgo, immersed in the green of the estate of Terralcantare, a real oasis in the valley of the river Alcantara. The rooms of the hotel, each one different from the other, are large and bright, while outside an outdoor pool with terrace overlooking the valley. In the restaurant "Le Macine" the kitchen is the genuine one of the real agritourism, with dishes of the Mediterranean culture revisited in a modern way.
Villa De Pertis History
With its suites and 3 hotel rooms it is the smallest hotel in Campania. A member of the Logis hotel chain, it is also one of the rare historic homes in the region that offers hospitality. Villa de Pertis is in fact a patrician residence built in the seventeenth century by rich landowners, who has managed to maintain its architectural peculiarities over time.
After passing through the stone courtyard lined by the garden, an elegant staircase leads to the central body of the villa, which is spread over two floors. The accommodations are very spacious and furnished with the typical furniture of a country house but, overall, refined and sober taste. The suite also has a large living room with a fireplace.
The other common rooms, including that reserved for the preparation of ceremonies and conventions, are embellished with furniture and period objects and some of them still have valuable frescoes.
The large terrace at the back of the villa, also used to serve breakfast, turns north, towards the Matese mountains. The owner as well as manager of the hotel is Nicola de Pertis, always full of advice to guide customers towards tourist itineraries that go beyond the canonical programs. In addition to the Vanvitellian palace of Caserta, absolutely not to be missed for those who come here in Campania, very interesting are the ancient silk mills or the WWF oasis of the Bosco di San Silvestro or, even, trekking walks on the nearby mountain Maggiore.
Many guides and tourist texts can still be consulted at the hotel, which also provides bicycles for excursions in the surrounding area. The restaurant, open to the public by reservation, puts the accent on the flavors and traditions of the area. Within a radius of about ten kilometers there are swimming pools, tennis courts, riding stables and hang-gliding.
