Located in an enclosed courtyard, surrounded by the splendid Monferrato countryside, the Castello di Razzano is composed of a noble residence dated 1697 where there is an elegant relais and the ancient cellars where the wines produced on the estate are kept.
Castello di Razzano History
Located in one of the most suggestive corners of Monferrato, the Castello di Razzano estate is composed of the homonymous winery and the Relais.
The estate covers approximately 100 hectares of land, 40 of which are cultivated with vineyards and 5 with olive groves. The wine production, about 200,000 bottles per year, is largely dedicated to the native Barbera grape variety, in the Barbera d'Asti Docg and Barbera del Monferrato Docg versions.
For some years, although in limited quantities, an excellent Monferrato Olive Oil has also been produced.
The historic aging cellars are located in the basement of the Castle which stands on a site of Roman origin.
Inside the Castle there is the Relais consisting of 13 rooms, 2 of which are superior suites, 4 suites, 5 junior suites, 2 double bedrooms, with rooms equipped with every comfort and elegantly furnished. And then a splendid swimming pool among the vineyards with a 360 ° panoramic view.
Inside the castle since 2009 there is the ArteVino Museum, where guests can experience a journey through lively installations that ends with a wine tasting.
