Located in a quiet and green rural area in the heart of the Bois de Mielmont, the Golf Hotel De Falnuée is a stately restored 13th-century stone farmhouse.

Golf Hotel De Falnuée History
The history of Falnués dates back to the 13th century, when the complex was built, which originally had its foundations in the ancient bed of Orneau. Falnurée comes from the word “Fagus”: beech.
Contemporary to Mielmont Castle located on the cliffs at the foot of the studio, the tower watched over the Orneau valley, while another even more imposing one, 1.5 km to the west, watched over the Vallée de la Ligne à Villeret.
These three monuments were part of the defensive system of the Count of Namur against that of the Duchy of Brabant, of which the castle of Corroy-Le-Château, the castle of Sombreffe and the city of Gembloux were a few kilometers away.
It was around 1430 that the Belgian provinces were reunited by Philippe Le Bon and that Falnurée lost its defensive role. He sold his fiefdom to a noble family. This is how a house was added, followed by stables and barns. A coat of arms on the large stable indicates the date 1742.The tower was restored in the 19th century.
Originally there must have been a drawbridge and the roof was flat.
After the French Revolution, the company maintained its agricultural vocation until 1987.
The hotel area of the complex is located on the first floor of the large barn of the Ferme-Château de Falnués: the ten rooms of various types (double, single and a family suite) can comfortably accommodate 23 people.
Each room has a bathroom with shower, wifi, flat screen TV, and are well soundproofed. The breakfast room and living room are adjacent to the bedrooms.
It is under the bicentennial vaults of the club house that you can enjoy quality dining in a welcoming environment. The chef offers a varied menu of seasonal products and a daily special during the week. The restaurant is open to the public and to companies that can organize meetings or banquets in an exceptional setting.
As for the heart of the complex, the golf course offers a gently hilly course consisting of 3 rings, which winds around 2 rivers and natural obstacles.Three holes in the woods, some on a plateau, others downstream will require technique and precision.
