Hotel Château Bela is a jewel set in the history and beauty of the Slovak countryside. This charming château reflects centuries of changes, transformations and influences of its various owners, each of whom has left an indelible imprint on its architecture and soul.
Hotel Château Bela History
erse stages of evolution from a fortified residence to an aristocratic country home.
One of the best-known owners was János Terstyánsky, a 19th-century Hungarian nobleman and politician. Terstyánsky acquired the château and led major renovations, such as the addition of the chapel completed in 1780, giving it the neo-Renaissance style that still captivates visitors today. His passion for art and culture was reflected in the atmosphere of refined splendor that still permeates the hotel today.
The château has continued to change hands over the years, with different owners helping to keep its legacy alive. Each change of ownership has added layers of history and influence to the already rich fabric of the property.
In 2000, Countess Ilona von Krockow came into possession of the chateau, renovating the style in a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Elegantly appointed rooms, well-kept green spaces, and a romantic atmosphere create a unique experience for visitors, capturing the essence of bygone eras and offering a haven of contemporary comfort.
Every corner of the hotel exudes history and charm. The rooms and suites are decorated with antiques, fine furniture and works of art, offering a warm welcome and an ambience of refined comfort. The extensive landscaped gardens surrounding the hotel, with mature trees and panoramic terraces, are ideal for romantic walks and relaxing moments in the midst of nature.
