Of the villa in Ceglo-Zegla that the ancestors called Gredič (gradič = little castle) there are few historical documents dating back to the 19th century. The existence of the villa dates back to 1774: the date is engraved on the keystone of the Palladian style chapel in front of the villa. The little church opens the village inhabited by the settlers and closes the small castle in a semicircle.
The structure that was property of the Codelli family and from which it took its name, rises on a small hill and gives the impression of a medieval fortress. The residential part is arranged towards the hill descent and closes with an angular tower, narrow and tapered, where the stairs to the floors are located.
The attic is surrounded by a terracotta crown, the part between the upper and lower windows is crossed by a stone string-course of Venetian style of the 17th century. The shape of the turret suggests that the origin of the castelletto dates back to 1500, deducible from the shape of the protective structure. In the whole structure of the turret there is another important detail that testifies to the strength and ancient origin of the house: the bolt-shaped defense orifices.
Brda and its unspoiled nature are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the preparation of new food and wine experiences.
