Hotel Ristorante Mulino Iannarelli History
The Mulino Iannarelli was obtained from a structure dating back to 1745, once owned by Prince Sanseverino of Bisignano. At the time, the mill became an invaluable source of wealth which was consolidated when, in 1877, it was purchased by the captain of the mobile guard Gennaro Iannarelli. The building was enlarged by adding a hydraulic sawmill and a gualcheria.
The constant struggle for survival kept him alive until the final closure in the 60-70s.
From 2000 onwards, thanks to the interest of the municipal administration, the old mill, now ruin, is reborn, with a faithful reconstruction, re-proposing itself in a new guise as if to witness the natural productive economic vocation that has always characterized this magical place to become what today is a fine restaurant and a comfortable hotel.
The Mulino Iannarelli offers its guests a free wi-fi connection to stay connected on vacation and in nature.
The kitchen makes use of excellent meats raised in the mountains and products from the woods and undergrowth, while the former are rigorously prepared with homemade pasta.
The cellar is also particularly well cared for, even though it mainly offers Lucanian wines, now classified among the best Italian wines, it does not fail to have labels from the entire national territory. All this makes the mill the ideal context for those who want to immerse themselves in a holiday full of comfort, nature, history and legend.
