Kasteel Sterkenburg History
Sterkenburg Castle, dating back to the 13th century, is located in the charming countryside of Utrecht between meadows, orchards, forests and canals. There are many possibilities for walking and cycling as well as visits to the nearby golf courses. On the estate there is not only the Castle, but also annexes such as the Coachouse and the Gardernershouse surrounded by canals and many monumental trees.
The castle has six Bed and Breakfast rooms: six different atmospheres, all characterized by wooden floors and a view of the surrounding countryside. Kasteel Sterkenburg's rooms include a private bathroom, allowing you to fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Outside the large garden, accompanied by a terrace with barbecue, where every morning you can enjoy a continental breakfast served inside the former gardener's hut, or served in your room or on the terrace.
