L'Ultimo Mulino History
Approaching the Last Mill gives the feeling of entering a painting by Claude Monet. A stone bridge with three arches leads to this small relais, located at the center of the confluence of three rivers. Everywhere is a triumph of colorful flower cascades, weeping willows licking the water with their foliage, ramages of flowers intertwined with trees. Romantic images full of charm, which have as background the slow flow of the rivers and the three big wheels of the mill. As the owners themselves say, it is "a place outside the world", which affects the senses for that harmonious whole, between nature and simplicity. The hotel is in fact housed in an old farmhouse, which already housed a mill in the seventeenth century. Old fireplaces and ancient millstones, once rough elements of a workplace, have now become protagonists of rustic-elegant settings with stone walls, terracotta floors and large wooden beams. Compositions of dried flowers, garlands of spikes, copper ornaments and some antique pieces decorate the bedrooms, furnished with wicker or light wood furniture.
On the ground floor there is the bar, with a typical stone shape in the center, the restaurant - based on the Friulian-Friulian cuisine with seafood specialties reinvented by the chef's imaginative cues - and a piano lounge, available for organizing meetings, dinners and meetings. Starting from the portico and along the rivers, you will soon reach a private lake.
