Monastero Le Grazie History
The Le Grazie Monastery is located on the border between Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany immersed in a green setting. The structure, an ancient Cistercian monastery adjacent to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie, was built in the fifteenth century in this dominant position the centuries-old woods and, renovated in 2000, has assumed its tourist vocation offering its guests 15 independent apartments: their capacity varies from 2 to 5 beds, with living room with table and chairs, large bedrooms, kitchenette and private bathroom. The furnishings, simple and elegant, are in poor art and most of the rooms overlook the park, with a striking view of the pool and the "Giardino dei Semplici", a labyrinth colored with medicinal herbs.
There are numerous common areas such as the wine-bar, the hall, the conference room with the impressive fireplace and the large TV room. In the restaurant "Il Ristoro del Prete" guests will find the best dishes of Umbrian and national cuisine, accompanied by a wide selection of wines. Homemade tagliatelle with chianina ragout, the priest's hats with the cream of zucchini and truffle flakes, the cut of the three peppers, are just some of the strong dishes to taste, perhaps in the large outdoor dining room with the windows overlooking the park, ideal also to host banquets, ceremonies, meetings and events.
