NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky History
The story of the NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky begins 150 years ago, when its founder Adolph Wilhelm Krasnapolsky opened a café there.
The hotel is proud of its history and it shows. Next to the door of each room is a copper engraving with an image from the old days. In the Krasnapolsky Grand Café, the date of the first café's opening is visible: 1866.
The recently renovated rooms are modern in style and decorated in warm, natural colors. Many, particularly those on the higher floors, offer beautiful views of the square. Many rooms have semi-open bathrooms with rain-effect floor showers and professional hair dryers.
Take advantage of the modern business rooms, the ideal working environment, with free Wi-Fi. Or meet clients in the lobby: a great place for appointments, given the hotel's location in the city center, with the Grand Café Krasnapolsky on hand to grab a coffee and something to eat
The hotel is also perfect as a venue for conferences and business meetings thanks to its ideal location and 17 meeting rooms, all of different sizes, in addition to the Winter Garden and the large Ballroom which can host events for up to 600 people.
Another pride of the hotel is "The White Room", the hotel's exclusive Michelin-starred restaurant, where you can enjoy a superlative gastronomic experience. For coffee or a casual meal at any time of day, try the Grand Café Krasnapolsky, which boasts stunning views of the main square, and in the morning enjoy a hearty breakfast in the fabulous 19th-century winter garden. As the sun sets, sip expertly crafted cocktails at the brand new bar, Tailor. Outside, the courtyard, with its cozy sitting area, is the perfect place to relax comfortably after a busy day of work or sightseeing.
