Staying at La Suvera relais means to live and touch most of the history of our country. Country residence of the Marquis Ricci Paracciani Bergamini and his wife, Princess Eleonora Massimo, has its fulcrum in the castle, known since the 10th century.
Attempting a more complete synthesis of the millennial history of this place, we can not omit some fundamental stages, such as, for example, belonging, since 1197, to the Lombard family of the counts Arghendeschi and, from 1508, to Pope Julius II of the Rovere, which transformed it, by the hand of architect Baldassarre Peruzzi, into the current Renaissance villa.
The interiors, remained intact in their splendor and further embellished with antiques and family memories of the owners, are a triumph of luxury and elegance. In the numerous bedrooms, one passes from the neo-Gothic to the neoclassical, from the Renaissance to the late eighteenth-century France, from the Savoy family testimonies to those of Anglo-Saxon origin.
