The roots of the Villa Le Barone hotel are steeped in the history of Chianti: before becoming an elegant hotel, in fact, this house located in the heart of Tuscany was home to a medieval barony (hence the name), summer residence of the famous family of sculptors Della Robbia and after the first post-war period, the farm of the Marquise Maria Bianca Viviani who managed it producing wine and olive oil.
Serenity, beauty and hospitality are the characteristics that best describe today the Villa Le Barone: a careful restoration has provided it with the services of a modern hotel while maintaining the authentic character of a private home with antique furniture and paintings, books and objects of a past time.
At guests' disposal 28 rooms, each one different from the other, located between the Villa, in the Farm or in the Granary. Some feature wooden beam ceilings, others have a panoramic terrace, but all are decorated with their own distinctive character, with fine fabrics, antique furniture, old prints on the walls, colorful bedspreads and terracotta artefacts. Two in particular recall the long history of the house: one was the room of Maria Bianchi Viviani, with its original furniture, the other is in the ancient tower, with tapestries of the sixteenth century and with a magnificent view of the vineyards. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-fi access and satellite TV.
An outdoor pool surrounded by fragrant rose gardens allows you to spend pleasant moments of relaxation, perhaps alternating the sunbathing with a visit to the bar or the bar / lounge for a refreshing drink by the pool or inside.
