The Eremo Madonna delle Grazie rises on the plateau of Ancient Avola, where since the Byzantine period the Capuchin convent was present. Recently the object of a careful restoration, the Eremo is now returned to its ancient splendor to welcome guests in the 11 rooms and the beautiful gardens, in which the sober simplicity has been deliberately kept.

The current structure originates from a completely renovated 16th century convent, located on the spectacular natural canyon of Cava Grande, at 480 meters above sea level, with breathtaking views.
The first building of the Eremo Madonna delle Grazie dates back to the sixteenth century, by the Capuchin friars who want it just outside the walls of the ancient city of Avola, on a hill that dominates most of the south-east horn of the island. The Hermitage that today offers itself to us, is the result of an admirable restoration restoration, which has preserved the primitive "face" of the building, making it at the same time even more fascinating. Particular to point out is the care with which the original "kitchen of the friars" has been restored, which can be visited on the first floor.
This charming historic residence has 11 rooms on two floors of the structure, the sober "Cubicula", derived from the cells of the friars; a breakfast room with a terrace overlooking the canyon, the comfortable "Solacium Animae" (dining room of the soul) dedicated to TV and moments of reading; the refined Convivium restaurant where you can savor the Sicilian delicacies expertly prepared by the chefs; the "Mentes Eruditio" room for conventions and conferences; the "Culinae Pacuni", the original cuisine of the friars; the large courtyard pizzeria L'Eremo and the characteristic patios that extend to the guest in a welcoming and austere embrace. Annexed to the Hermitage is a small church, also in the eighteenth century, still today a place of worship and prayer, silent guardian of the original mystical vocation of the building.
Conferences, meetings, training activities, parties; the Eremo Madonna delle Grazie is modeled according to the needs of the clientele. The charming and characteristic courtyards are offered as suggestive locations for weddings, ceremonies, concerts, theatrical events, literary and cultural in general. We organize baptisms, weddings, anniversaries with the possibility of celebrating the religious function in the graceful church of the Hermitage and for newlyweds the possibility to stay in suite, breakfast and musicians service in the homely church of the house and live music reception.
