The Feudo Bauly is a noble property to 1300, completely renovated, located 5 minutes from Palazzolo Acreide, UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers accommodation with rooms furnished with antique furniture, air-conditioned and equipped with terracotta floors and ceilings with exposed beams. Feudo Bauly History
Surrounded by the green landscape of the Hyblaean hills, stands the Bauly Fief of the fourteenth century. A small village, a completely restored oasis of tranquility where you can savor the authentic atmosphere of old Sicily.
The Fief of Bauly is as said of ancient origin: in the fourteenth century it was the property of the Alagona family, then of the Landonina family and later of the Trigona Deodato family. It was in 1787 that the noble family of the baron Gabriele Judica, Royal Custodian of the antiquities of the District of Noto, acquired the Feudo and began its restructuring. Until the middle of the last century it was one of the most famous and renowned homes in eastern Sicily, a small village where everything was found, from the noble house, to the small church, to the sharecroppers' houses, to the stables and warehouses. Coming back to the 2000s, the Corsino family, with a skilful restoration work conducted in the careful respect of the original architecture, has created a class hotel, where tradition and history combine with the comforts required by the most demanding customers.
Hotel Feudo Bauly consists of 25 rooms and suites, where a charming and elegant setting reigns: original antique furniture, handmade terracotta floors, wooden beams, cleverly restored doors and windows, spacious bathrooms with mezzanine private accessible by vintage wooden stairs, everything contributes to make small jewels. Equipped with central heating, safe, fridge and TV, will give special moments in a charming atmosphere.
A buffet breakfast is served in the spacious and welcoming dining room, where fine furnishings and fabrics are coordinated down to the last detail or, during the summer, outside in the spectacular courtyard. The restaurant serves typical Iblea cuisine, where meats, cheeses and meats come from the farms of the estate, accompanied by a wide selection of wines, also with an eye to the production of the territory.
The hotel offers its guests an outdoor swimming pool with spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, open from 1 May to 30 September, as well as a small spa where you can relax with massages and treatments of various kinds.
