Locanda Palazzone is a historic residence of medieval times located just minutes from Orvieto. In the suites of what is one of the oldest hotels in Italy you can still breathe the ancient charm of history along with a welcoming atmosphere given by the refined and modern furnishings. All around the property are the vineyards from which the Locanda Palazzone winery obtains fine wines, to be tasted in the hotel's wine cellar or together with the Umbrian specialties offered by the restaurant.

Locanda Palazzone is a magnificent boutique hotel located in the open countryside, in a frame of vineyards, with the cliff of the city of Orvieto in the background. A scrupulous restoration has brought the Palazzone back to its former glory, respecting its original medieval "hospitalis" character for pilgrims and prelates bound for Rome.
This historic soul is elegantly combined with modern furniture. The 7 Suites, whose windows with their ancient arches frame the magnificent surrounding landscape, welcome travelers by ensuring that they enjoy relaxing stays, through moments of contact with nature and the place and experiences full of emotions.
In warm weather, guests of the Locanda can relax in the outdoor swimming pool which offers a suggestive view of the hills and Palazzone vineyards, with the background of nature's songs.
The Locanda Palazzone winery also has its roots in tradition and passion, which have favored the birth of great wines. On land of sedimentary and clayey origin, with an exciting view of the Orvieto cliff, 25 hectares of vineyards have been planted to produce wines of great complexity and character. Among the activities, Locanda Palazzone offers visits and tastings of the company and the cellar, as well as the visit of the ancient Musco cave.
Our Chef interprets traditional Umbrian dishes, enhancing local products in combination with Palazzone wines, respecting seasonality, an ethical obligation, and environmental sustainability in the selection of products. Every evening we offer a different 4-course menu, served on the terrace or in the main lounge.
Locanda Palazzone is the ideal location to host events or weddings for up to 120 people in the large outdoor garden, from which you can admire the suggestive scenery of the vineyards; the other spaces available are the main hall overlooking the garden and the vineyards, the wine shop on the lower floor with a capacity of about 30 seats and the terrace which, with a capacity of about 50 seats, overlooks the valley and Orvieto and is ideal as a location for aperitifs at wedding banquets and for small events.
