Villa Acquarone

The Villa Acquarone, takes its name from the penultimate owner Duca d'Acquarone, minister of the Real Casa during fascism.
It is a fine building in neo-Palladian style from the end of the 1800s, built by Count Moi, a member of the German aristocracy and Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Bavaria, on a project by Ing. Angelo Fuchs. Eng. Fuchs was well known in Gardone where he designed numerous villas and hotels between the end of the 1800s and the first decades of the 1900s. Recent work has shown that it was built as an extension of an existing building.
During the Republic of Salò (1943), the headquarters of the Orstkommandatur, the German military command destined to issue passes or administrative documents to the Italian citizens of the area, were placed there.
After the Second World War, in 1947, the Duke of Acquarone decided to sell the Villa, which was thus purchased by the Schmidt-Sari family and since then used as a dependency of the Hotel.
In 1999 the complete restoration of the facades was carried out with the demolition of the deteriorated plasters and the painting on a color project specially designed by the artist Jorrit Tornquist, the complete renovation of the roof, the terraces and the conservative restoration of the statues.

Hospitality is given by ten elegant rooms furnished with period furniture and parquet, English stuccoes and windows. The rooms are equipped with all comforts: air conditioning, telephone, satellite television, free Wi-Fi, safe, elegant bathrooms with bath or shower and hairdryer.

The 100-meter long terrace-restaurant offers breathtaking views of the lake, where you can taste the typical pacts of the local and Mediterranean tradition with particular, with sea fish, whitefish, trout, selected meats and homemade pasta and desserts.
