Borgo Ramezzana stands on the slopes of Monferrato, and today houses a hotel converted from an ancient agricultural residence recovered from a careful restoration with finely furnished rooms. The cuisine of the restaurant is based on the Mediterranean tradition.
Borgo Ramezzana History
Nestled among the rice fields, in the frame of the Monferrato hills, lies the splendid Borgo di Ramezzana Country House. The Hotel is housed in an ancient rural residence, restored to the charm of the past by a careful restoration that has allowed to preserve its architectural peculiarities and the nineteenth-century paintings. The manor house in neo-Gothic style, dominated by a crenellated tower embellished by cantilevered bricks, has taken over entirely the ancient beauty.
Inside frescoed vaulted ceilings, terracotta floors, wooden beams, stone staircases and fireplaces coexist in perfect harmony between past and present with antique and precious furnishings of the seventeenth century Tuscan, the eighteenth century Piedmontese and the Far East - with pieces from India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Tibet - reflecting a collection lasting decades and a passion for distant civilizations.
Here everything is in the name of ecology, everything is designed with full respect for the environment, with the most modern technologies for energy saving, solar panels, geothermal energy, biomass, making this accommodation a leading example in the Italian landscape.
The kitchen offers typical local dishes, with influences of the Mediterranean and Oriental tradition, allowing harmonious meetings between tastes and flavors absolutely genuine.
Today the complex has been able to make functional its rooms to accommodate banquets for special occasions, such as weddings and special events: a large and bright room obtained from the old stables can hold up to 180 guests, while in the summer you can take advantage of the space of the garden to organize buffets, cocktails and lunches immersed in the atmosphere of relaxation and privacy by the pool.
