Villa Italia History
Located just a few minutes from the center of Padua and equally close to the major Paduan road axes, the fairgrounds of the industrial area, Villa Italia is a magnificent mansion built between 1810 and 1828, at least as far as one can deduce from the historical land registers.
The structure, in Italian style, is inserted in a large park with a garden decorated with flowerbeds and numerous tree species including cedars, magnolias, pomegranates, cypresses, firs and various hedges while the main avenue behind the villa is framed by eight statues in white stone.
The villa consists of several bodies: a central volume of three floors, to the right a single-storey body with a mezzanine and to the left an annex of two floors; all feature classic references and 17th-century and 18th-century style decorations. Villa Italia over time has been enriched with various elements that have gradually embellished it up to the maximum architectural expression of today: in 1919 it was bought by the commendatore Arrigo Olivieri, paternal grandfather of the current owner and owner of the famous beer Itala Pilsen which, in addition to performing various renovations, makes the large pool and the two pavilions create an adjacent stone and assigns the villa the name of his wife Italy, noble from Friuli to Porcia. More recently, in the early '90s, the current owner, Count Corrado di Panigai, carried out a conservative restoration of the complex under the direction of architect Tognon and in 2008 a further intervention brought the villa back to its original splendor, realizing all the new furnishings, restoring all the pavilions, the pool and the park.
Villa Italia thus becomes one of the most prestigious meeting places in Padua, a refined receptive structure able to host a great diversity of events, from the most prestigious meetings and conventions thanks to the rooms equipped with the most advanced technologies, to the most evocative parties and ceremonies. with a staff attentive to meet every need and ready to organize every detail with the customer, from equipment to catering.
Equipped with a large paved parking lot of about 500 cars, the villa houses a restaurant and an American bar, while the stables are multi-purpose rooms; outside the large reception areas are complemented by a large swimming pool and various small fields of soccer, basketball and volleyball.
The villa is also a luxury hotel, able to combine the elegant atmosphere of the past with all modern comforts: the rooms and suites, equipped with TV, air conditioning, minibar, telephone, safe and Wi-Fi, are furnished with style and charm, with unique details for each space, offering each guest an exclusive experience and a relaxing stay.
